Cardinal Classic (3.11 Miles) 00:23:43, Place overall: 20, Place in age division: 6 | | I ran the JV race at the Cardinal Classic. I like the race but it is not very kind to me. I got 20th place and medaled, but only 6th on our team. We are strong but I nee to move up. My calves were burning again and I just did not have a good race.

| | The team ran an easy run on the Tiger Grizz course, my legs felt really good today. I hope this is the sign that my issues are improving and I can have a good race on Friday.

| | 5 miles including 2x1000m repeats. I am trying to listen to my body and not overdue training and save my legs for racing (and have PT note to support this). When I told the coach that I wanted to skip a repeat because my legs was hurting, he told me to "stretch it out" and suck it up and looked at me very mean. I just want the coach to treat me (other runners who are not the "top" runners) fairly and with respect.

Tiger Grizz (3.11 Miles) 00:23:23, Place overall: 3, Place in age division: 1 | | One of my favorite race on our home course. It was super hot today (~90). I ran the JV race and was hoping that my legs would not hurt as bad. I ran the first mile at 7:00 pace and was in about 15th place and third on the team. I just kept pushing, my legs hurt and my mind was telling me to drop out but I battled in my head and said no. Maren passed me at about 1.5 miles on the hills. I passed Abby just past 2 miles then Daphne right after that. I kept pushing hard and not letting my mind win and past Maren with 800m to go. My mouth was super dry and legs hurt but I did not stop and ended up 1st on our team and 3rd overall for the race. Our team won the JV race overall (we were 3,4,5,10,12)! I ran a warmup and cool down and sat in the creek. A great day and I got the fear from my Century race out of my head. Earned a spot on varsity for next week's race!

| | 4 miles at practice including about 15 minutes of tempo run, I cut the hard effort short to keep my legs fresh which Coach McMurtrey said was a good idea.

Canyon Ridge (3.11 Miles) 00:22:57, Place overall: 23, Place in age division: 7 | | I ran a season PR of 22:57 which is great, but finish lower on the team than I wanted. Good improvement, looking forward to Bob Firman next week.

Bob Firman Invitational (3.11 Miles) 00:22:33, Place overall: 20, Place in age division: 6 | | I ran in the JV race. My legs were tight and dad massaged them out before the race. I set a new personal course record and placed 20th to get a medal. Could not quite hang on to my teammates, they all ran well. Happy to have medaled (out of 235 runners) and continue to show improved times.
