I ran the 800m in 3:12 and then the 1600m in 7:00. I ran with the pack for the first three laps then I had a good kick and ran with most of the other girls pretty strong. I passed Lauren but she beat me by 1 second in the last 50m. I feel good and will get better as the season goes on.

Sandcreek/Rigby/TV Tri meet (1 Miles) 00:07:01 | | I ran the 800m and 1600m today. Cool and windy. 800m I started on the inside lane and was boxed in really bad and nearly tripped in teh first 200m. I had a hard time getting open running space and finished in 3:15. I talked to dad about how to deal with this for the next race.
in the 1600m I started near the middle. I held back a little and got clear around the crowd on the back stretch and moved up fast to the lead pack and ran there for most of the race. I ran steady pace and pushed hard in the last 100m. The winner ran 6:38 and I ran 7:01, 8th place on only 1 second behind a teammate (3rd taylorview girl to finish). I felt really good about this race and know I can keep improving.

Madison Tri (1 Miles) 00:07:00, Place in age division: 4 | | I ran the 800m and 1 mile at the Madison Tri. Season PR in the 800m at 3:07. My legs hurt pretty bad after this race, so the mile was not for sure. Dad helped me get ready for it.
I ran the mile in 7:00. I really pushed my last mile and passed 2-4 girls. One girl tried to trip me at the finish line. I was nearly caught Lauren who ran strong today and Isabelle and Merritt ran well too!

TV Invite 3200m (2 Miles) 00:14:41, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 1 | | I ran the warm up with the team early then spent the whole day hanging out waiting for the 3200m at the end of the event. I was the only TV girl and one of only 5 girls to run it. We ran the race with the boys (22 of them).
I ran the first mile in 7:06 then my calves started to really hurt. I was in third place at the mile mark but slowed a little because of my legs. I pushed hard for the last lap and especially the last 100m. I beating several boys.
I am the Taylorview 3200m girls record holder!

My times were, 1600- 6:48 and 800- 3:04. The boys 4 by 4 team broke the record! they all ran really fast. I was kind of close to beating one of my teammates I'll just try harder to get her at the next track meet. All in all it was a fun day not to mention getting out of school at 1:10!

Started near the back in the first lap then pushed hard and passed lots of girls in the second lap. My teammate just outkicked me by 1 second. I felt great afterwards and really liked this race...most of the time my legs are hurting after a race. Fun way to end my middle school track time!

High Five Track Meet (1 Miles) 00:06:46, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | Today was a track meet and I did the 3200 and the 1600 meters (2 miles and 1 mile) The 3200 was the first event and I was the only girl in my division to run. My shins started to hurt at the 2nd mile but I didn't stop but I kept going. My time was 14:43 I was 3 seconds off of my PR. Then, I had a 1 hour break and I was waiting to do the 1600. I kept up with the top girls which was me and 2 other people. The timers were yelling out our splits and the 800 time was 3:40 and the was a really slow 800 so I decided to drop the other girls and started to push a little bit harder. so I was leading for the last 2 laps! I was really happy because I never really led a race with other people in my division which was really awesome but in teh final sprit we had head wind and the second pace girl passed me but she wasn't the far ahead and the i heard peoplp cheering for the girl who was right behind me so I pushed it as hard as i could and i stayed ahead of her. My time was 6:46 which was again 3 seconds slower than my PR and I was happy about that because none of the others girls did the 3200 so doing that well in the 1600 after running 2 miles I was proud of what i did.

Park City Invitational JV #1 (3 Miles) 00:22:21, Place overall: 12, Place in age division: 12 | | I made the travel team for the Park City Invitational. I ran on the JV team in heat #1 and did good. I ran hard and our team did great. 7 of the 8 girls in JV medaled! My quads really hurt after the race.
Had a fun time with the girls at the hotel after the race.

I was running strong and set a new PR even with the rain coming down in the second half. I even passed a few girls at the end including one right at the line. My legs felt really good during the race.

Nike Cross Northwest Open Invitational (3.11 Miles) 00:23:10, Place overall: 298 | | I ran the Nike Cross Northwest race solo (only IFXC girl). These girls are fast! My first miles was a 6:45 and I felt like I was sprinting through 1.5 miles then had to pull back. Happy with competing and pretty happy with the time. Glad I came and raced. Ready for some time off.
